Bertha Reyuw
Capacity Building Program Manager
Bertha Mochieg Reyuw who comes from Yap, the Island of Stone Money, joined the Micronesia Conservation Trust (MCT) in March of 2020 as the Capacity Building Program Manager. Ms. Reyuw earned her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration in 2010 and a third-year certificate in General Business in 2011 at the College of Micronesia (COM). After 3 years of studying Business, Ms. Reyuw discovered a new passion in Environmental Studies. In 2012, she was awarded the Australia Aid Scholarship (AusAid) with which she completed her Bachelor of Art degree in Environmental Studies at the University of the South Pacific (USP) in Fiji. After graduating with her Bachelors in 2014, she returned to Yap and began working as the Environmental Program Manager with the Yap Community Action Program (YapCAP) from 2014 to 2017. In September 2017, she was selected as one of the first Association for Promotion of International Cooperation (APIC)-MCT and Bill Raynor Micronesia Challenge (BRMC) scholars to attend Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan where she graduated with her Master’s in Global Environmental Studies in September 2019. Prior to joining MCT, she worked for the FSM Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management (DECEM) as the Project Manager for the Third National Communication Report project. Bertha is passionate about working with local communities in Micronesia to build their capacities, their resilience and sustaining their natural resources.
