Pam is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in philanthropy and nonprofits, particularly in the Asia-Pacific, Australia, Central America and Africa. Born in Papua New Guinea, and with extensive career and lived experience in the region, Pam has a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing Pacific Island communities, along with a deep commitment to conservation and sustainable development. At the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Pam played a pivotal role in catalyzing and scaling marine conservation across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, including locally managed marine areas, systemic and policy changes, sector capability building, and long-term co-funding partnerships. During her tenure at the Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies, Pam established and managed a global grantmaking program that advanced humanitarian and development initiatives in disaster-prone regions. As a leader of the Innovation & Partnerships team at an Australian government agency, Pam has significant experience in driving innovation within the health and disability sectors. Pam holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia and a Bachelor of Science degree with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney. Pam is passionate about addressing social and environmental issues and building community and ecosystem resilience in vulnerable regions of the Global South. In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving, exploring nature and new places, and spending quality time with family and friends.
